Are you wondering why this smoothie is called a ” Monster” ? Well, it’s not about the size of the smoothie, it’s all about the monstrosity of the nutrients in this incredibly simple and delicious smoothie. Its rich in vitamin A, Vitamin C, protein, potassium and calcium. Isn’t the name just right for this wonderful drink? It makes a great post-workout drink or even a breakfast or snack. There are tons of recipes out there for this smoothie. My version usually has kale ( wedmd calls kale “queen of greens”) and baby spinach and some berries, but feel free to use just spinach and any fruit that you have in hand. Stop buying those expensive smoothies at your gym smoothie bars and start making these at home:)
1/2 cup kale
1/2 cup spinach
1 cup milk or yogurt ( I used almond milk)
1 tsp nut butter ( I used peanut butter)
handful of berries ( I used raspberries)
1. Wash and clean the kale and baby spinach.
2. Take all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
